Finally. Here is the all important team photo of all three bots before they look less pretty by the end of the day Saturday.
Today I wrapped up everything that needed to be done on the hobbyweight to be able to get it ready for Franklin Institute this Saturday. The new replacement motor arrived in the mail. After going through 2 hacksaw blades trying to cut down the hardened steel shaft and cutting a giant hole in the top plate of UHMW, all that was left was the final assembly. All said the weapon motor is still a little underpowered so I'm going to have to take it easy on the throttle this weekend, but it's as complete as it is going to get and I'm really excited about its possibilities.
